£63 million budget increase for EV charging

The government has announced the expansion of EV charging infrastructure. It is designed to make charging electric vehicles quicker for businesses and individuals.

What’s included in the budget?
- Funds to help local authorities leverage private funding to install EV charging
- Grants for businesses to increase EV charging installation
- Simplified planning network for charge points UK wide

The government has also made a new budget for upgrading your boiler system

- £7,500 towards an air source heat pump
- £7,500 towards a ground source heat pump (including water source heat pumps and those on shared ground loops)
- £5,000 towards a biomass boiler

The installation must meet minimum requirements such as efficiency levels and is limited to one per property
